Comic: Politics

Guvermint

The bad news: Arizonans vote less frequently than most of the rest of the nation, we watch and read news less frequently than most of the rest of the nation, we volunteer less frequently than most of the rest of the nation, and we participate in community activities less frequently than most of the rest of the nation.

Only 10% of Arizonans believe elected officials represent their interests. And yet Arizona ranks 43rd among states in voter turnout.

The good news: if you're one of the few politically engaged Arizonans, and interested in running for office, you can probably win election by earning around the same number of votes you see sitting around your dinner table on Thanksgiving Day.

Roberto De Vido writes cartoons and comics about politics, sports (and life) from a small fishing and farming village an hour southwest of Tokyo.
