Periodic Table of Democratic Candidates

It says a lot about the Democratic race for John McCain's U.S. Senate seat that the best news candidate Randy Parraz could come up with in a late-campaign poll he commissioned was that 44% of likely voters remain undecided.

Parraz claims 17% of likely voters have him in their hearts at the moment, putting him in "a virtual dead heat" with former Tucson City Councilman Rodney Glassman, who is the pick of 20% of likely voters.

Former investigative journalist John Dougherty stands at 11%, it seems, and ex-legislator Cathy Eden trails at seven percent.

What's crystal clear is that there is no frontrunner in the Democratic race. What's less clear is whether or not Arizona's Democrats are even aware there's an election.

Roberto De Vido writes cartoons and comics about politics, sports (and life) from a small fishing and farming village an hour southwest of Tokyo.
