We can all use a friend. Someone to watch our backs, someone who's looking out for us at all times, protecting us from bad stuff.
There are times, however, when our friends' best intentions make us look like idiots. Times when we're running for Congress, and our buddies interrupt our television interviews, making us look like we're their puppets.
Making us look like we're their puppets when we're perfectly capable of making ourselves look like idiots.
