Point • Counterpoint: Candidates Jones and Melvin

Following Gov. Jan Brewer's announcement that she would not be seeking a third term (barred by law), Republican gubernatorial candidate Christine Jones launched a sycophantic campaign to thank Brewer for her "hard work and dedication" Arizonans.

Hoping for an endorsement, Candidate Jones?

Unlikely to be signing the "thank you wall" the former GoDaddy lawyer set up on her website (perhaps in part so she could scrape email addresses into her campaign database) is Al Melvin, for whom we dusted off our Shakespeare. Because everyone needs a hobby, we like to imagine Cap'n Al declaiming Shakespearean monologues in the bathroom every morning as he gets dressed.
