The BBC's BBC Three network has ordered a documentary on South African Paralympics star Oscar Pistorius and the shooting death of his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, it was ITV, not the BBC, that broadcast a documentary exposing Jimmy Savile, for decades a BBC presenter, as a serial sexual abuser.
