Report: Gila Bend mayor warns Prince Harry against 'fornicating'

Mayor disputes British tabloid 'fabrications'

Thanks to

Prince Harry, posted to the town of Gila Bend, Arizona, for military training, has been warned against "fornicating" during his stay in the Christian community — at least according to a report in a scandal-loving British tabloid.

The 27-year-old U.K. prince is in Gila Bend, population 1,700, for the final stage of an advanced weapons training course in the United States, to experience conditions similar to those he might encounter in Afghanistan. Prince Harry is a helicopter pilot in the British Army.

But the town's mayor, Ron Henry, in an interview with the Daily Mail warned Harry off the Arizona desert town's young women after hearing about his reputation as a party-loving playboy, the tabloid claimed.

"There are probably some fathers here who would go to extremes to protect their daughters," said Mayor Henry, the Daily Mail reported. "Some of the dads won't take too kindly to a prince fornicating the night away."

The mayor added: "I would advise the prince to take in the beautiful sights of the desert instead."

Prince Harry was previously posted at El Centro base in California as part of the RAF Apache training course. While in California, he is reported to have wooed San Diego cocktail waitress Jess Donaldson.

According to the Daily Mail, Gila Bend has only one bar, and so nightlife options will be limited for the prince and his fellow soldiers.

But in a statement posted on the town of Gila Bend's official website, Mayor Henry said the Daily Mail report was "not only taken out of context but also, total fabrications."

"We have tremendous respect and adoration for Prince Harry and the Royal Family," the mayor said. "We are excited, proud and honored to have him in our community, and we would like extend every courtesy to make his stay as comfortable as possible.”

Here’s a headline from today’s Daily Mail: Burly rugby player has a stroke after freak gym accident… wakes up gay and becomes a hairdresser.

No word on his relationship to members of the royal family.

A nice introduction to The Daily Mail for Mayor Henry.

One of the Daily Mail’s better headlines was: “‘Radioactive’ paedophile suspect on the run after skipping court”.

Or this: “Tears for girl, 13, crushed to death by a falling branch as she sat on park bench”, subheadlined “Complaints had been made to the council about ‘dangerous’ tree”.
