The Independent Redistricting Commission is scheduled to hold meetings to review draft maps this weekend in Southern Arizona.

The IRC will meet in Sells at 10 a.m. and in Marana at 6 p.m. Friday, and in Green Valley at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The commission has not placed any votes on the agendas for the meetings, so the move by Gov. Jan Brewer and Republican legislators to remove IRC Chairwoman Colleen Mathis from her office won't have any practical effect on the weekend's hearings.
