The bobcat was snapped by the motion-sensing camera system at 7:52 a.m. last Tuesday.
The camera, part of a system loaned to the research center by the University of Arizona School of Natural Resources and the Environment, was set up Oct. 12 as part of Biosphere 2's "Discovery Nights" program.
The installation was put together by Kevin Bonine, director of Education and Outreach at Biosphere 2, along with two undergrads and three UA honors freshman.
Also captured by the camera were skunks, deer, coyotes and javelina.
TucsonSentinel.com reporter Paul Ingram, who also works for Biosphere 2, contributed to this report.
