Border Patrol agents rescue 2 migrants from desert

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents rescued two illegal immigrants Friday who were in a dangerous situation, authorities said.

Just before sunset, agents responded to a sensor activation in the Baboquivari mountain range west of Arivaca. After hiking into a remote canyon, the agents found two illegal immigrants suffering from dehydration, a news release said.

Due to the location and the medical condition of the men, agents decided to have them airlifted from the area.

After receiving medical treatment in a local hospital, both men were processed for removal, the release said.
