36 min: We talked with Republican state Rep. Ethan Orr (LD9), who covered the state fight to open the Grand Canyon, Mental Health First Aid funding, the state's projected budget surplus and bicycle safety legislation.

51 min: We started our second hour with Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, who was in town promoting "Arizona Manufactures Month" and appearing at a fundraiser for Orr. The governor discussed the federal government shutdown and its effect on the state economy, efforts to open the Grand Canyon, the lawsuit challenging Medicaid expansion, her order to welfare officials to use state funds to restore assistance to thousands of families who lost aid due to the shutdown, the projected $1.2 billion budget surplus and education funding.

78 min: We finished the show with Ward 6 Tucson City Councilman Steve Kozachik, who discussed the Broadway widening project, Pima Animal Care's charging the City of Tucson for spay and neutering, El Rio lawsuits, Tucson's General Plan, expansion of Tucson's Port Authority, neighborhood preservation and zoning.
