11 illegal immigrants found in abandoned house

Arrests

Douglas Station Agents assigned apprehended a 35-year-old Mexican national Wednesday. Records checks revealed the man had been charged with child cruelty with possible injury/death in August 2009. He was being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for illegal re-entry.

In a separate incident Wednesday, Douglas agents apprehended a group of nine men and two women, all from Mexico, inside an abandoned house. They were all in the United States illegally and were taken to the Douglas Station for processing and removal.

Tucson Station agents apprehended a 38-year-old man from Mexico on Wednesday who was in the country illegally. Records checks revealed he had previous removals from and criminal charges in California, including possession of a controlled substance and petty theft. He was being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for illegal re-entry of an aggravated felon.
