Officials: Nat'l Guard drill shouldn't raise alarm at TIA

While a military exercise at Tucson International Airport on Thursday will include emergency vehicles entering the neighboring National Guard facility, "impact to normal operations will be minimal for those who are not participating," officials said.

The Arizona Air National Guard's 162nd Wing, stationed at the airport, is running an exercise between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The drill "will not disrupt airport operations or traffic on Valencia (Road)," said ANG 2nd Lt. Lacey Roberts.

"Emergency vehicles may be seen entering/exiting the base," Roberts said.
