Mike Hellon, a Republican candidate for Pima County supervisor in District 1, talked about his endorsement by the Tucson Chamber of Commerce and the County Sheriff Deputies Association. He talked about roads, taxes, bond and district office administration.
Martha McSally, a Republican candidate for CD2, joined John to invite our listeners to come by the grand opening of her new campaign headquarters.
Ann-Eve Pedersen, chairwoman of group pushing the "Quality Jobs and Education" one-cent sales tax initiative, gave an update on three different court challenges associated with the measure.
Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO Glenn Hamer talked about several statewide initiatives including sales tax, property tax and land trust issues. He also commented on a proposed Federal Implementation Plan or FIP for three coal-fired electric generating facilities in Arizona.
