Water service will be temporarily cut to 500 homes and businesses on Tucson's East Side on Tuesday night due to repair work.
Water service will be disrupted by the repairs in an area bounded by Broadway on the north, Freeman Road on the east, Old Spanish Trail on the south and Houghton Road on the west, said Tucson Water spokesman Fernando Molina.
Water service cuts will start at 11 p.m. on Tuesday and are expected to continue until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Molina said in a press release.
The Danforth Reservoir, near North Houghton Road and Old Spanish Trail, contains two large valves that will be replaced overnight. The work was scheduled during the early morning hours to minimize disruptions to water service, Molina said.
Tucson Water customers in the area have been notified of the service cuts by mail, he said.
