Tucson police have located a man and woman said to have impersonated law enforcement officers on multiple occasions over the past six months.
A vehicle equipped with police lights and a siren has been impounded, TPD spokesman Sgt. Chris Widmer said in a news release Wednesday.
Police uniforms and equipment were seized, he said.
The pair are suspected of using the vehicle to conduct traffic stops between Dec 11, 2011 and June 10, he said.
The couple have not been arrested, but charges are pending, Widmer said.
Police are not releasing the couple's names and descriptions, nor details on the type of vehicle, for investigative reasons, Widmer said.
