J.C. Scott: Az Legislature marks first 100 days

Tuesday's edition of the John C. Scott Show focused on the state Legislature:

3:05 p.m.: Brent DeRaad, the CEO of the Metropolitan Tucson Convention and Visitors Bureau talked about a new image for the organization, which is changing names to Visit Tucson. Deraad talked about marketing Southern Arizona as a tourist destination as the economy continues to improve.

3:35 p.m.: Democratic state Sen. Steve Farley (LD9) gave his take on the Legislature's first 100 days in session and his dismay at the stalemate on Medicaid expansion.

4:05 p.m.: Republican Rep. Ethan Orr (LD9) joined John for a look at the state House of Representatives this session. He shared his concerns about Medicaid expansion and talked about the hundreds of bills that await the governor's signature.

4:35 p.m.: Hank Stephenson, a reporter for the Arizona Capitol Times, shared the latest on a series on the spending habits of lobbyists at the state Capitol. He also commented on state Sen. Al Melvin's announcement that he is exploring a run for governor, as well as the Medicaid debate.
