'Peace, Love, Gabby' wristbands offered by Giffords interns

Wristbands featuring a peace sign, a heart and the word "Gabby" will benefit a scholarship fund in memory of Gabriel Zimmerman, the community outreach director for U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords who was killed in the Jan. 8 shooting.

The "Peace, Love, Gabby" wristbands will be offerred for sale by a group of interns from Giffords' Tucson office.

The wristbands, and bumper stickers saying "Gabrielle Giffords: Continues to Inspire," will benefit the Arizona State University School of Social Work Scholarship Fund, said one of the interns, Danielle Dobrusin, in a news release.

The message on the wristbands is inspired by a simple drawing left at the memorial that has sprung up outside Giffords' Tucson office, she said.

The wristbands, which will be sold for $1, are the congresswoman's favorite color, turquoise, Dobrusin said.
