Many feel that Gila Bend would be the best location for the F-35 that may (or may not) beddown at TIA. An auxiliary field at the Gila Bend Air Force facility which is adjacent to the Barry Goldwater range would save both D-M and the ANG at TIA. Encroachment and aging aircraft will eventually kill both of these instillations.
