I lost some respect for Kelly with the way he handled the concession. You only congratulate an opponent who EARNS a victory. Barber certainly didn’t earn it. He distorted, disparaged, and outright lied his way to victory. The whole campaign Barber refused to talk about himself. He only wanted to talk about Kelly. That’s not earning it.
He respects what happened? How do you respect an electorate that refuses to educate itself and keeps rubber-stamping politicians who want to drive this town and this country straight off a cliff?
I’m not saying that Kelly should have left via a profanity-laden tirade, but he shouldn’t have stopped telling it like it is just so he can appear graceful, either.
I lost some respect for Kelly when he repeatedly failed to use the first person singular pronoun.
