Sitton speaks on Monday night.
As the CD8 GOP primary race nears Election Day, Dave Sitton addressed a room of about 30 people who would make an impressive “who’s who in Tucson-area retired brass” list on Monday evening.... Read more»

I was very interested in this event because I:
1. am a native Tucsonan,
2. like to stay safe,
3. prefer to run my own life, not have some govt. lackey do it, and finally,
4. was looking for a candidate that could assist in these goals.
I’m very glad I attended. Dave Sitton is my man. He can win and “gets it.”

Simply put, Jesse Kelly has neither the brains, credibility or honesty for public office, the will for fighting or the compassion to represent the people of southern Arizona either CD8 OR CD2.
I read the previous attack on Jesse Kelly. Although I’m a Dave Sitton man, I also am a Tea Party member and the article you referenced (sorry, but I only read one just to get the flavor) is not well written. For one thing, It doesn’t actually make the point spoken of in the title. The second thing is that it accuses some nameless “they” and “most” of crimes that, in my experience, are simply not true.
An honest journalist is specific. This is an editorial trying to seem like news. I’m not sure exactly why you have chosen to attack Jesse Kelly and the Tea Party, but I honestly don’t care. Both are better than the liar who wrote this piece. This is simply a hit piece and since you are referencing it, you obviously agree with that hit. Is that the civility we are aiming for?
@Dan Starr
Which is the “attack” to which you are referring?
Have you actually read the first article? If so, the “attack” part should be obvious.
@Dan Starr
I hadn’t - if we chased down every link posted by commenters, we wouldn’t have time to report the news.
But the first link posted by @Robert Rowley is little more than a press release from Citizens United, an organization that supports Kelly.
I get that. However, why are you wasting time expecting me to do your job for you? You seem to be reading my posts (noting the time between them) rather than “reporting the news.” I actually work on the computer so I can be here often. What’s your story?
@Dan Starr
It’s hardly my job to go read every random news story posted on other websites to which our commenters link.
Your comment didn’t make sense to me, so I requested that you clarify it. Rather than do so, you seem interested in provoking a disagreement with someone who has nothing to do with the article you brought up.
