Win: See black & white 'Mad Max: Fury Road' on silver screen

Director George Miller says the "best version" of the vividly colored "Mad Max: Fury Road" is the "black & chrome edition," in which the 2015 film has been reworked in black and white. Is it? Find out for yourself, on us, by winning a pair of passes to see it at the Loft this weekend.

The movie will be shown Friday and Saturday nights, and the afternoon of New Year's Day. From our friends at the Loft:

“Oh, what a day … what a lovely day!” Director George Miller originally intended his highly acclaimed Mad Max: Fury Road to be released in stunning black and white, and now you can revisit the apocalyptic Best Picture Oscar nominee in this sleek new version, presented the way Miller wanted you to see it.

But fear not – the action hasn’t gone away, just the color!  Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max (Tom Hardy) believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a war rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa (Charlize Theron). They are escaping a citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the warlord marshals all his gangs and ruthlessly pursues the rebels in the high-octane road war that follows.  An outrageous, full-throttle action extravaganza filled with unexpected depth, feeling and characters to root for, Mad Max: Fury Road is a stunning reinvention of the action genre that must be seen on the big screen, now made even more intense in gorgeous black and white! (Dir. by George Miller, 2015, Australia/USA, 120 mins., Rated R)
