Don't miss out: Free tickets to 'Dough' movie

A challah recipe that's definitely not kosher for Passover brings together a Jewish London baker and a young Muslim apprentice in a the film "Dough." An accidental extra ingredient — egg wash isn't the only glazed about this bread — sends sales sky high. Win free tickets to a showing at the Loft.

From our friends at the Loft Cinema:

Curmudgeonly widower Nat Dayan (Jonathan Pryce, “Game of Thrones”) stubbornly clings to his way of life and his livelihood as a Kosher bakery shop owner in London’s East End.

With a dwindling clientele (“All of my regulars are either dead or moving away”) and the pressures of encroaching big box stores, the 70-something Nat reluctantly enlists the help of teenager Ayyash (Jerome Holder), who has a secret side gig selling marijuana to help his struggling immigrant mother make ends meet. When Ayyash accidentally drops his stash into the mixing dough, the challah starts flying off the shelves and an unlikely friendship forms between the old Jewish baker and his young Muslim apprentice. Also starring Pauline Collins (Shirley Valentine), Dough is a warmhearted and gently humorous comedy about overcoming prejudice and finding redemption in unexpected places. (Dir. by John Goldschmidt, 2015, UK, 94 mins., Not Rated)
