St. Patrick's parade to march through Downtown on Sunday

Whether you want to celebrate your Celtic heritage or just be "Irish for a day," Tucson's 28th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival is your golden opportunity.

The festival takes place downtown at Armory Park, 221 S. 6th Ave, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The event will feature live Irish music, dancers and entertainment, as well as games for the kids. Vendors will also be on hand with food and merchandise.

Retired KVOA anchorman Tom McNamara will be serving as the grand marshal for this year's parade. The one-hour event begins on South Stone Avenue between 16th  and 17th streets at 11 a.m., heading north through Downtown to Armory Park.

  • 10-10:30 a.m. — Recorded music
  • 10:30-11 a.m. — Scatter The Dust
  • 11-11:30 a.m. — Out of Kilters
  • 11:30 a.m.- 12:15 p.m. — Recorded music during Parade
  • 12:15 pm Opening Ceremonies
  • 12:20-12:30 p.m. — Tucson & District Pipe Band
  • 12:30-1 p.m. — Three Penny Balladeers
  • 1 – 1:05 p.m. Parade Awards Announced
  • 1:05- 1:30 p.m. Tir Conaill Academy of Irish Dance
  • 1:30-2:05 p.m.  Three Penny Balladeers
  • 2:05-2:30 p.m. Maguire Academy of Irish Dance
  • 2:30-4:30 p.m. — The Sullivans
  • 4:30-5 p.m. — Puca
